What to Expect on Your First Visit:

Acupuncture is perhaps the best known of all Traditional Chinese Medicine Modalities.  On your first visit, you will be evaluated for current complaints and a thorough medical history will also be taken.  This will determine your diagnosis and you will be treated with an acupuncture point selection designed to correct your specific pattern imbalance.

Treatment involves the insertion of fine needles along defined medians and is relatively painless. As QI flow increases you might experience sensations of tingling, heaviness, or warmth.  The most immediate sensation reported by patients is a sense of deep relaxation.

Acupuncture may be just one part of your ongoing treatment plan.  It may include dietary suggestions, exercise and lifestyle recommendations, and self-care outside of the office!

Acupuncture can also be used as complementary care along with Western medical treatments.

Over 5 years ago I visited Jennie for help with my neuropathic pain. I had never been to an acupuncturist before. Not only did she treat the neuropathy successfully, but I randomly asked her about an issue that had haunted me for nearly 10 years. I had seen every Western doctor under the sun; had every test ever created done and no one could figure what was wrong. In a single conversation, Jennie told me what the issue was and provided homeopathic capsules to treat it. It has never re-occurred. I still see Jennie for various reasons including hot flashes, the flu and the common cold. And the best part? She is a lot of fun!
